OrganicLea’s Farm School pilot – June 2026

Farm School is a new initiative of OrganicLea’s Young People’s Team and emerges from OrganicLea’s homegrown Forest School for families.

It is designed to offer structured learning in organic horticulture within a wider Forest School child-led framework. It is run on our beautiful and abundant 12-acre food-growing site, Hawkwood Plant Nursery.

We are offering 4 sessions:

Thursdays 10.30 am to 2.30 pm, and it is open to children aged 5-8.

What to expect at the sessions

Our sessions are designed to support connections – to ourselves, to each other, and to Earth. Sessions are:

A typical day includes:

A community time in circle, learning module and farm task, free play in a forest school setting, vegan community lunch (included), consolidation of learning through games, activities and craft, finishing with nature journaling.

*** Grown-ups are required to stay on site at all times. There will be a tea and coffee station, community lunch and wi-fi as needed***

This session is open to children ages 5-8 (one younger sibling can be accommodated per family and will need to be in the care of their grown-ups at all times).

Our 4-week pilot costs £160, and an additional sibling costs £80.

We are committed to keeping sessions accessible for all families. We offer a number of reduced-cost places for families on a low income. Also, feel free to get in touch if it is difficult for you to pay for all 6 sessions in one go.
