The Waltham Forest Food Growers Network is how we support each other as a local movement. Whether you’re a community garden, school, allotment, or herb patch, you’re welcome to join.
The network helps members connect, swap skills, share ideas and pool resources. Together, we’ve supported council estate tenants to grow food on their land, helped community gardens monitor and support wildlife, supported new groups to fundraise and supported local food activism.
The Waltham Forest Food Growers Network supports Organiclea’s vision of ensuring everyone in the area can access affordable, locally-grown food. We’re learning more and more about the way the history of enclosure on these islands and colonialism around the world continues to shape who has access to land and good food. We want to disrupt this pattern and build a bold, multiracial, cross-class alternative food movement in the borough.
