We want OrganicLea to be a space that is open and accessible to everyone, and as a community we are made up of people with diverse needs and ways of being in the world.
Before visiting the site, we encourage you to contact us directly at referrals@organiclea.org.uk so we can discuss what you need to feel comfortable and supported in the space. While we operate a busy market garden, and some parts of the site are not suitable for people with reduced mobility, we offer alternative activities wherever we can.
Access and the space
- Our site is accessible by car and there is free parking in front of the main building
- The barn, classroom and glasshouse are step-free
- There is an accessible compost toilet by the main building
- There is an indoor gender-neutral large accessible toilet with a portable ramp
- Our woodland classroom is around 100 metres from the main building. Access is step free, but the weather can impact accessibility, so contact us for up to date information about this space
- We have trained first-aiders and mental health first-aiders on site
- There are quiet spaces on site for those that need a sensory rest
- We can offer seated or indoor activities such as seed sowing and saving, preserving and cooking
Some members of our community may require one-to-one support while on site. If you require one-to-one support to be on site, or support someone who may benefit from accessing the space, please contact referrals@organiclea.org.uk
