Do you want to enjoy beautiful fresh cut flowers and be part of supporting wild pollinators too? Join the OrganicLea cut flower scheme and enjoy a fortnightly bouquet of fresh, locally grown flowers sent to your chosen pick-up point. You’ll receive them every two weeks from the end of May to October.
Sustainable and ethical blooms
Conventional cut flowers greet us in every supermarket, but more than 85% are imported, mostly air-freighted, and grown using copious amounts of chemical fertilisers and pesticides – including the highly toxic DDT – meaning that even the smallest bunch comes with a huge environmental and carbon cost.
Signing up to the OrganicLea scheme ensures your blooms are organic, sustainable and ethically grown. Plus, the growing flowers are as attractive to wild bees as the cut stems will look in your home. So you’ll also be supporting us to continue growing these flowers that provide a vital food source for pollinator insects.

Support for pollinators

OrganicLea grows a mix of native and naturalised wild flowers that attract a diversity of pollinating insects, from hoverflies to mining bees. The plants grow at Hawkwood Nursery and are chosen to provide habitat for pollinators, in the form of landing pads and sunning spots.
Also, the blooms are a mix of different shapes and sizes to match the diversity of tongue lengths of the UK’s more than 270 native bees.
And our wild plant species, including yarrow, knapweed, viper’s bugloss, wild carrot and ox-eye daisy, make long-lasting cut flowers.
How the cut flower scheme works
Your flowers will be delivered to a local pick-up point on a Wednesday or Thursday, between the end of May and the beginning of October.
To receive a fortnightly delivery costs £180 in total. You can pay this as a single charge or in five monthly payments of £36.

One-off bunches are also available from £20 – get in touch by email at flowers@organiclea.org.uk.
For both subscribers and occasional customers, home delivery in the local area can be arranged for an extra £5. Email flowers@organiclea.org.uk to make an arrangement.
We can also provide larger quantities of flowers, as well as bouquets and buttonholes, for special events such as parties or weddings. Enquire via email at flowers@organiclea.org.uk.
