You can order compost below for home delivery, for the following postcodes: E4, E10, E11, E10, E17, IG8 and IG9. Orders will be despatched every week usually on Fridays. Or you can opt to collect from Hawkwood Nursery. We’re sorry we can’t guarantee particular delivery dates, but will confirm the schedule by email as soon as possible after you order.
You can pay by credit or debit card – any difficulties please email plants@organiclea.org.uk but note that it’s a busy time in the nursery so we’re checking email about twice a week. Please understand that the ordering system takes a payment straightaway even though delivery is not until May or June; we appreciate there’s a gap but it would significantly increase administration logistics if we waited to process payments later on.
Compost deliveries will generally take place on Fridays with a charge of £5 per delivery of up to 100 litres. Or you can collect your order from Hawkwood Tuesday-Friday 9am-5pm. Alternatively, we usually stock compost on our Farm Stall so on Thursdays and Fridays you can turn up and buy without pre-ordering. Our hand-mixed composts (seed, potting and container compost) are available in 10, 20 or 40 litre bags, and green waste compost in 40 litres.
Please note: maximum for a compost order without plants is 100 litres total. You can place two orders for delivery together.
