At the end of May we took a van load of young plants out of our usual north-east london welly-stomping ground, and down to the Southbank. Hundreds of seedlings, lovingly raised by Organiclea, will be grown and displayed on the riverside all summer long.
The Queen’s Walk Windows Gardens, designed by Wayward Plants, are large-scale allotments created from reclaimed windows, that will tended by volunteers and community groups over the summer months. The plants have been arranged in family groups, to help you learn your asteraceae from your apiaceae (lettuces from carrots).
You can see our plants in the Queen’s Walk Window Gardens, as part of the Southbank Centre’s Festival of Neighbourhood.
