Freeing seeds from corporate control
Join us at the Hornbeam Center on Friday 1st March for a seed swap with a difference.
Patrick Mulvany from the UK Food Group and Ru Litherland, a grower with Organiclea will lead discussions exploring the effects that corporate control over the seed industry is having on agricultural biodiversity, the resilience of our food system and the livelihoods of small-scale producers. As well as ways in which gardeners are growers can take steps to resume some control over the production and distribution of seeds.
Alongside these exhilarating talks we will hold a seed swap where you can give away seeds that you would like to share are get interesting varieties from other London growers and gardeners. All are encouraged to bring seeds to share.
Food will be available by donation. Event will be 7 – 10pm at the Hornbeam Centre, 458 Hoe St, Walthamstow, E17 9AH
