Permaculture is a design approach for living more lightly on the planet as thriving, resilient communities.
This course offers guidance, inspiration and support, for those seeking a more sustainable and integrated life. It is for anyone who is seeking responsible ways to care for ourselves, for each other and for the Earth.
Both practical and personally transforming, the course develops an understanding of permaculture principles, ethics and design methods, providing skills that you can apply to your own life.

The course is held on dates through autumn 2012: 1-3 September (residential), 15-17 September, 29 September- 1 October, 13-15 October (full days).
It is based at Hawkwood Nursery, Organiclea’s growing site, an inspiring example of permaculture applied to regenerate our land and our community on London’s abundant urban edge.
The course is taught by a diverse group of experienced and inspiring teachers each bringing particular skills, insights and approaches. Practical skills shared will include, amongst others; food growing, land design,
eco-building, plant medicine. The course is accredited by the Permaculture Association.
Delicious vegan food will provided by the Hornbeam Café, and is included in the fee. We ask people to bring food to share for one day of each of the last 3 teaching blocks. On the first residential weekend participants will be camping under the oak trees on the site. Alternative arrangements can be made for those who need.
