Come to the stall on Saturday at the Hornbeam to stare at our newest cropshare producer’s weird and wonderful exotic fruit. Tony will be bringing Kiwano and Pepino, both equally bizarre in appearance and flavour and both grown right here in Waltham Forest!
…And then either buy it, or simply stand and laugh, and buy your usual carrots, potatoes, greens, and other brilliantly priced organic, local vegetables.
There will be the usual seasonal vegetables from our growing site in Chingford and beyond, plus locally picked apples from the ‘scrumping’ project, fresh-baked bread (you won’t get cheaper for home baked organic bread!) and cakes made from locally-sourced fruit.
