A workers' cooperative growing food on London's edge in the Lea Valley

Spring/Summer Term Forest School

OrganicLea Forest School

Join us for an active, spring summer term of Forest Time, OrganicLea’s homegrown forest school for families. Forest Time is run on our beautiful and abundant 12 acre food growing site, Hawkwood Plant Nursery.

Our fun, creative, adventurous and fully outdoor sessions are designed to support connections – to ourselves, to each other, and to Earth. Sessions are:

  • run on forest school principles
  • based in free play & community-building
  • run using a wealth of nature-based crafts, seasonal food growing knowledge, campfire cooking & warming, bushcraft skills, songs & games
  • deeply integrated with the rhythms of OrganicLea’s horticultural and ecology work

FRIDAY Spring/Summer term dates: 7-week term starts on 25th April, finishing 13th June (with half term break on 30th May)

We are offering two Friday sessions:

Friday morning session from 9.45 – 11.45: for 0-4 year olds

Friday afternoon session from 12.45 – 14.45: for 3-5 year olds who are ready for more autonomy and self-direction

Our 7 week terms costs £112 (£8 per child, £8 per adult per session). Additional sibling tickets cost £5 from walking, or are free for sibling crawlers or siblings in arms.

We are committed to keeping sessions accessible for all families. We offer a number of reduced cost places for families on a low income. Also feel free to get in touch if it is difficult for you to pay for all 8 sessions in one go.
