News on our latest term of Forest Time sessions starting in January and also an exciting new training opportunity.
Based in the woods at OrganicLea’s 12 acre growing site, our Forest Time sessions are open to all pre-schoolers will get you exploring, adventuring and playing in the woods with your little one!
They take place Friday and Tuesday mornings 9.45am – 11.45am (for children from walking)
We offer a nature-based exploration for children & their grownups, giving them the chance to connect with themselves, each other and nature. Our sessions are based in free play & community-building, using a wealth of nature-based crafts, stories, skills, songs & games. It’s also a space to listen to the natural world with wonderment, reverence, respect, and delight!

Forest School Training at OrganicLea February 2023
The Garden Classroom (TGC) is delighted to be working with OrganicLea to provide bespoke Forest School training starting in February 2023. This highly enjoyable and immersive training experience covers the ethos and principles of Forest School as well as learning and development theory alongside practical woodland skills including firelighting, tool use, tarps and shelters, and covers how to teach these skills in a safe, child-led environment. On completion, Trainees gain an ITC First accredited qualification which is recognised nationwide and by the Forest School Association. Download more information on course structure and content here.
