OrganicLea are running a one-day course on winemaking, suitable for complete beginners and those with some wine making experience already.

September is the month when grapes ripen and the hedgerow bears it fruity goodness. Spend the day discovering how to make your own delicious grape or foraged hedgerow wines to enjoy year after year. You’ll learn about the science of fermentation, the different flavours and styles of winemaking, and how to make reliable wines at home with minimal equipment.

It will be a fun, hands-on class, and will include:

  • a tour of our vineyard,
  • an introduction to making grape wine,
  • an introduction to making wine from foraged fruit,
  • and a practical wine-making session, with some wine to take away and ferment at home.
