Wolves Lane is recruiting!
Are you passionate about creating inclusive community spaces?
- Do you want to help make good food accessible to all and build a healthier, more sustainable food culture?
- Do you have collaborative organisational skills to make activities happen working with diverse communities?
Wolves Lane Centre in Haringey is the former council-run plant nursery and garden centre that has been run by a consortium of community organisations (including Organiclea) and many fantastic volunteers since 2017, with a focus on growing and distributing wholesome food and engaging local communities in education, enterprise and events.
We are looking for someone to support the volunteers currently involved in refurbishing, developing and running the site, and to help take the Centre to its next phase of operation. As well as developing a comprehensive volunteer programme, you will also need to play a facilities management role on site, identifying works needed and organising appropriate volunteers or contractors. We are looking for someone with the drive to hold wide-ranging responsibilities initially and work with the Consortium members to get a full team of colleagues in place as the scale of activity develops.
The role is 21 hours per week, salary: £27,300 pro rata. Full details and how to apply here. Closing date for applications: 9am on Monday 13 May. Interviews to be held on Friday 17 May.
