Join us this month to celebrate endings and beginnings: we mark the end of our our refurbishment and the beginning of making the most of using our newly refurbished facilities! And as we come to the end of this year’s main growing phase our seasonal task focuses on saving seed for next year’s growing. All welcome.
9.45-1 Seasonal Blitz morning: our weekend volunteering opportunity, join us at 9.45 for a 10am-1pm session. We advise sturdy shoes and you are welcome to stay for the Hawkwood monthly Open Day afterwards. This month’s focus is on seed saving.
11-1: Kids Kitchen morning session getting children to cook up their own seasonal feast .. and eat it together! Places are limited for this and there is a fee to cover costs – book online here, select bookings, then Organiclea.
All afternoon (12 – 3) Delicious seasonal lunch prepared by Ximena who also cooks and trains with Made in Hackney and Hackney Grower’s Kitchen. Cakes, coffee and teas available too. And our farm stall has Hawkwood produce including salad, jams, pickles, vinegars and herbal teas for sale.
All afternoon (12-4): Firewood for sale – self-service ‘pick your own’. £20 for wheelbarrow full, £50 per tonne sack (plus £10 deposit for sack).
