Join us for a plant medicine-themed open day this month as we delve into the healing elements of Hawkwood’s growing site and explore the fluid edges between food and medicine. Hawkwood Herbals coordinator Theresa will update us about this expanding Organiclea project and with community herbalist Rasheeqa will lead the site tour sharing knowledge about the abundant wild and cultivated medicinal plants that support health alongside the seasonal produce that nourishes us, and the part they play in the Hawkwood ecosystems. As usual there’s also delicious lunch, coffee and cake served all day, and for kids there’s both a cook and eat opportunity and forest school.
Seasonal Blitz morning: our weekend volunteering opportunity, join us at 9.45 for a 10am-1pm session. We advise sturdy shoes and you are welcome to stay for the Hawkwood monthly Open Day afterwards. This month the focus is on summer plant care.
