We are running a Level 1 City and Guilds course in food growing skills at Organiclea’s Hawkwood site:
6 week course starting Friday 26 February 2016, 10.30-4.30 (holiday on Friday 25 March). These details are correct!
During the 6 weeks you will be given confidence to sow and get growing. This includes getting to grips with soil conditions and requirements for different vegetable crops; food growing plot design, including compost heaps, crop rotation, companion planting; planning for all-year round harvesting; pest management and plant nutrient needs. Learning is based in the classroom supplemented by practical activity across the day in the Hawkwood market gardens.
