This month’s open day focuses on fruit trees – old and new. There will be a grafting workshop – learn more about this technique to create new trees. And a wassail orchard tour – join in this traditional celebration to toast the success of the fruit harvest to come.
The wonderful Forest School will also be running, providing children of all ages with the opportunity to explore and play in our woodland space.
Plans for the day:
*12 noon-4pm (with a break for lunch): ‘Drop-in’ seasonal horticultural activity
*12.30pm: Grafting workshop
*1.30pm: Lunch time – bring a packed lunch
*2.30pm: Site tour and orchard wassailing
*12-3pm (with a break for lunch): Forest School – activities and free play for children of all ages. Children under 6 must be accompanied. Spaces are limited so please email londonforestschool@gmail.com
