Join us this Sunday at Hawkwood Community Plant Nursery for an open day and winter salad plant sale.
We love winter salads, they are packed with vitamins and minerals for fighting winter illnesses and in the depths of winter their green leaves are a reminder of the growing season to come. On Sunday we will be selling seedlings of lambs lettuce, mustard, rocket, mizuna, chicory, chervil, rainbow chard, leaf celery, parsley, namenia and endive.
There will be the usual open day activities: a site tour and horticultural tasks to join in. Find directions to the site here. All welcome, bring a packed lunch if you’re staying for the day.
