Catch-up with the seed saving season and join in horticultural tasks and chat in the market garden
At Hawkwood, our growing site, we host a monthly Open Day on the last Sunday of each month. A chance to catch up with the site’s work, engage in seasonal horticultural activity and take part in a skill-share workshop.
This month’s schedule:
- Winter warming gardening activity 12-4pm
- Lunch break at 1.30pm, please bring a packed lunch
- Seed saving workshop 2pm
- Site tour 3pm
The seed saving workshop, led by Ru, will introduce participants to the seeds that we save and store here at Hawkwood and the reasons we do this. There will also be a chance to perfect your threshing techniques with our own saved seed collection.
