You can order compost below for home delivery, for the following postcodes: E4, E10, E11, E10, E17, IG8 and IG9, or for collection from Hawkwood Nursery.
Collection is on Fridays (9am-5pm), please select your preferred pickup date.
Delivery: we can deliver to kerbside/doorstep on the following Tuesdays: 26 March, 23 April, 21 May (more dates will be added when these are full). You can select your delivery date when you order. We’re sorry that we can’t guarantee a particular timeslot, but you can provide any delivery information in the notes section and we’ll do our best to help. You need to order by the preceding Thursday for the Tuesday delivery dates, and by Tuesday each week for Friday collection the same week.
Delivery costs are based on quantity: a base £5 fee plus £2 for each bag ordered.
This year we are not selling plants online, but you can buy them in person from our open day plant sales and our farm stall (see details here).
You can pay by credit or debit card – any difficulties please email plants@organiclea.org.uk but note that it’s a busy time in the nursery so we’re checking email about twice a week.
Seed Compost
Providing enough aeration and water retention to encourage germination and fast rooting, our seed compost is the perfect growing medium for your seedlings.

Potting On Compost
When your seedling is ready for the next stage this compost is specifically made to help with growth and establishment.

Green Waste Compost
The great all-rounder. Perfect for mulching, bed prepping, raised beds, increasing organic matter and improving soil condition.
